Youth Leadership Roles
As youth gain experience, many grow into leadership roles that allow them to take on greater responsibility and guide others. Youth leaders serve as site managers, peer mentors, and program assistants, supporting daily operations and helping ensure programs run smoothly.
The Path to Leadership
Leadership roles are earned in a variety of ways. Some youth grow into these positions through continued participation in KATB programs, while others apply as opportunities become available. Older youth play a key role in mentoring and training younger team members, helping model professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
Mentorship and leadership development are built into daily work, with ongoing guidance and support from KATB staff.
