Summer OST Program
6 Weeks | 5 Days Per Week | 3 Hours Per Day
STEMventures offers a structured 6-week Summer Out-of-School Time (OST) program designed to maintain academic growth, prevent summer learning loss, and provide high-engagement, standards-aligned enrichment.
Programs begin in June and repeat in July, ensuring consistent access to purposeful summer learning in a safe, supervised environment.
Jurassic Park: Life Science & Discovery
Students step into the world of paleontology and ecosystem science through immersive, inquiry-based exploration.
During Jurassic Park Week, students:
Investigate fossils and geological timelines
Explore ecosystems and food chains
Conduct scientific classification activities
Engage in hands-on engineering challenges inspired by prehistoric design
Apply measurement and data collection skills
This theme strengthens scientific reasoning, observation skills, and evidence-based thinking.
Oregon Trail: History, Survival & Engineering
Students explore westward expansion through interdisciplinary learning that blends history, math, and engineering.
During Oregon Trail Week, students:
Analyze maps and geographic routes
Apply resource management math and budgeting skills
Design and test wagon structures
Explore cause-and-effect relationships in historical scenarios
Practice collaboration through team survival simulations
This theme reinforces historical inquiry, applied math, and strategic problem-solving.
CSI Investigation: Forensic Science & Critical Thinking
Students take on the role of investigators through structured forensic science challenges.
During CSI Week, students:
Analyze evidence and observational data
Practice logical reasoning and deductive thinking
Conduct fingerprint and handwriting comparisons
Apply measurement and scientific testing methods
Work collaboratively to solve structured mystery scenarios
This theme strengthens analytical thinking, attention to detail, and scientific application.
