Paid Youth Employment
Kids at Their Best provides paid employment opportunities for youth ages 12 to 24, offering meaningful work at living wages in supportive, real-world environments. These opportunities are the foundation of our workforce development approach and are woven throughout all of our programs, from food access to out of school time enrichment.
Youth Employment Opportunities
Youth are hired to work in food programs, summer sites, events, logistics, and community outreach. Most positions are seasonal and run for eight to twelve weeks, allowing youth to gain hands on experience while balancing school and other responsibilities. Youth are employed within their own communities, strengthening local connections and creating pathways to give back locally.
Many youth begin their involvement with Kids at Their Best as program participants and later return as employees, building continuity, confidence, and long-term engagement.
