STEMventures After School Program
Stemventures is a structured, standards-aligned after school enrichment program serving students in 1st-8th grade, funded by the Colorado Academic Accelerator Program Grant. We proudly serve students at:
Green Acres Elementary School

Fort Morgan Middle School
Our program provides a safe, supervised environment where students accelerate academic growth through hands-on, project based learning, targeted intervention and meaningful real-world applications.
What Makes STEMventures Different?
Standards-Aligned Academic Acceleration
All activities align with Colorado Academic Standards and integrate literacy, mathematics, science, and critical thinking through intentional instruction and measurable outcomes.
Students engage in:
Structured homework support
Targeted reading and math reinforcement

Elementary Program (Grades 1-5)
Elementary programming focuses on building strong academic foundations while fostering curiosity and confidence.
Students participate in:
- Foundational reading fluency and comprehension support
- Math skill reinforcement and number sense development
- Guided STEM exploration
- Structured academic intervention in small-group settings
- Hands-on projects that strengthen core skills through applied learning
The elementary model emphasizes skill mastery, engagement, and confidence-building in a structured, supportive environment.
Middle School Program (Grades 6-8)
Middle school programming emphasizes independence, analytical thinking, and academic application.
Students engage in:
Advanced problem-solving and inquiry-based STEM labs
Innovation and engineering design challenges
Applied math and science projects aligned to grade-level standards
Collaborative debates and solution-based discussions
Skill-building experiences that prepare students for high school expectations
This model strengthens executive functioning, academic endurance, and real-world readiness.
Monthly Family STEM Nights
STEMventures extends learning beyond students by intentionally engaging families as partners in academic success.
We host one Family STEM Night per month at each school site to strengthen school-family partnerships and showcase student learning.
Family Nights feature:
Interactive STEM challenges
Hands-on design and engineering activities
Collaborative family problem-solving experiences
Real-world math and science applications
STEM-integrated “Build Your Own” food stations
These events allow families to:
See academic skills applied in meaningful ways
